Home survey

***Following a change to the way grant funding is calculated, from April 2017 you no longer need to pay for a home energy assessment to access the grants available through the Energy at Home Scheme.***

If you are interested in having any energy saving measures installed in your home contact the Energy at Home Advice Service. The Advice Service can then refer you to Dyson Energy Services  to arrange for a visit from their surveyor to carry out a survey of the property. From this survey they will be able to provide a free, no obligation quote for the energy saving measures you are interested in.

In some cases a second visit from a specialist surveyor may be required to provide a quote e.g. for a boiler, solid wall insulation or room-in-roof insulation quote.

The quote you receive from Dyson Energy Services will include the amount of grant you are able to access from the different funding streams.

Energy Performance Certificate

When you book your survey you have the option to upgrade your home energy survey to include an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) of your home for £35.

An EPC is a useful document that shows you how much energy your home currently uses, which energy saving measures may be appropriate for your home, and how much those improvements would likely save you on your energy bills over the next 3 years. An EPC is also useful if you want to sell or rent out the property as it is a legal requirement for landlords and sellers.

Please let the Advice Service and Dyson Energy Services know if you would like this before the surveyor visits.
