Bright Green Homes Affordable Warmth Project
Grant funded measures including insulation and low carbon heating systems are now available for eligible households. All measures subject to a satisfactory survey.
BATHNES Council, working in partnership with Bristol City Council, have been awarded funding to help homeowners and private renters improve the energy efficiency of their homes via the installation of insulation and low carbon technologies including central heating and solar electricity generation. Residents who are eligible for funding could have a wide range of energy saving measures installed, including insulation, solar panels, heat pumps, glazing and doors.
The funding is available through the government's Home Upgrade Grant Scheme and is open to residents living in the BANES area who also meet the following eligibility criteria:
Household income must be below £30,000 per year
An EPC rating of D, E, F or G
Electric or non-gas fossil fuel heating source such as oil or coal
If you feel you meet these criteria, or if you know someone who might benefit from this scheme, please complete the registration questionnaire which can be found at https://www.energyservicebristol.co.uk/funding/ and one of the team will be in touch regarding your eligibility.
You can also contact the team directly on 0117 352 1180 or email@example.com
From April 2018, the majority of rented homes must have an EPC (energy performance certificate) with a rating of A to E unless exempt.
