About Energy at Home
The Bath & North East Somerset Energy at Home Scheme aims to help residents improve the energy performance of their homes by providing expert home energy advice.
It was set up by Bath & North East Somerset Council to help tackle fuel poverty and promote health & well-being locally, whilst reducing our carbon emissions and improving the local economy.
The Advice Service is managed by the Centre for Sustainable Energy. They can give you free expert advice on a range of energy related issues including how to get the best deal on your energy bills, identify which energy efficiency measures might be appropriate for your home and find out which grants and finance you might be able to access.
From November 2017 the Energy at Home Scheme will no longer be referring customers directly to a single contractor (recently Dyson Energy Services). Instead the Advice Service can provide a list of installers for heating and insulation. These installers are not part of the Energy at Home Scheme and not endorsed by the Council. They do however sign a code of conduct with the Centre for Sustainable Energy, who then monitor customer feedback.
Dyson Energy Services will continue to survey and provide quotes for customers referred to them up to 31st October 2017. Please contact Dyson Energy Services directly if you have any queries relating to your referral.
Contact the Energy at Home Advice Service for home energy advice or if you have any queries about the changes to the Scheme.
